Joshua and Natasha’s island wedding in the Virgin Islands were picture perfect.
The new husband and wife are high school sweethearts whose love story began in 2011. They share a love for the island that they live on, the ocean, and travel.
They got engaged in Switzerland last year and couldn’t wait to start their new adventure together. Despite having to make major changes to their plans, they decided to keep their wedding date while following COVID guidelines.
Holding their wedding on their families’ private property made their wedding so much more intimate and magical.
Natasha’s engagement ring, wedding band, and Joshua’s unique men’s wedding band.
From the bride: “Our wedding day was a tropical fairy tale! I’ve always loved the uniqueness of tropical flowers. I love all the colors and had a hard time choosing a specific pallet, so I decided-why not include all of them? It’s easy to incorporate that with a tropical theme. I envisioned a botanical garden style, and although our wedding was on the beach, we still made it happen! We served a “Black Cake” as part of the desserts, which is basically a fruit cake soaked in rum. It is a Caribbean tradition to serve this at weddings.”
The flowers definitely styled this island wedding. From the bride: “I asked for a tropical wonderland, and that’s what I got! Our circular arch was completely covered with tropical foliage and flowers. Our guests were all using it to take pictures with the families after the ceremony. Tropical flowers were everywhere and the bright pops of color brought so much life to the scene.”
