Nestled in the historic Capitol Hill neighborhood of Washington, D.C, this intimate fall-inspired Mantle wedding is for the couple that embodies the heart of the district, the soul of music, and the beauty of being untraditional.
The musically acclaimed boutique studio and event venue called The Mantle seamlessly tied in the musical elements and historic townhouse charm that fit the inspirational couple’s profile perfectly.
The Bösendorfer 225 Grand Piano immediately captured the eye of our styled shoot photographer, Rachel Schrock, and as a wedding planner, I knew it would be the focal point of the styled shoot.
Nana Florals incorporated simple but darker fall florals to provide a moodier vibe and ensuring the grand piano was the main attraction. Nana Florals also made a beautiful foliage garland for the inspirational couple’s dog, Sherlock Bones. A touch of the same foliage was added to the groom’s boutonniere for an added touch of detail.
To capture to details of the day, we incorporated dark green and white toned stationary provided by Petals and Ink Design and paired it with vellum sheet music to bring in additional musical elements.
We intertwined a beautifully untraditional detail by putting the inspirational bride in an emerald, green velvet dress to seal the inspirational shoot with love and uniqueness.
