Chris and Sam’s Laguna Gloria Wedding

Chris and Sam’s 1920’s-themed celebration took place at The Contemporary Austin: Laguna Gloria in October 2019. Sam’s favorite decade, the 1920’s, was known for illustrious jazz bands and chic flapper dresses.

The bride and groom wanted to create a timeless and elegant wedding. When Chris and Samantha visited the venue,  they immediately fell in love.

Everything about this wedding lived up to their vision of elegance and timelessness. Sam chose a captivating Alyssa Kristin beaded gown. The color scheme was forest green, white, and black.

A 1916 Italianate-style villa surrounded by beautiful trees, sculptures, and a maze of dimly lit paths, their future venue was exactly what they had pictured.

Chris and Sam’s special day screamed sophistication. They had a stunning candlelit long dining table and fun gin and tonic bar.

Although first hesitant about having a “first look,” they decided to spend a few private moments together at the “Temple of Love” where they exchanged handwritten cards and some beautiful words before the ceremony.

One of their favorite moments of the day was the wild dance party at the end of the night with all of their friends and family. The couple had people travel from all over to come and join them on their special day.

From the bride: “It was so wonderful to see so many smiling faces on the dance floor [and] it filled our hearts with so much joy to see all of our favorite people together”
