From the Bride, Peri: “Sean and I were best friends before falling madly in love one summer 5 years ago.
We had grown up together as small children but lost touch as we got older and went our separate ways…off to different high schools and colleges.
Surprisingly enough, both of our parents are high school sweethearts and the four of them have been friends since they were kids.
So, Sean and I have always been in each other’s lives.
You can imagine everyone’s excitement when we got engaged! It has been such an incredible journey made even more special by all the history our families share.
When it came to planning our wedding, we had no idea where to start!
We both come from big, loud, crazy families and just wanted to create the most love-filled magical celebration we could ever imagine.
We realized we wanted more than just one night, we wanted an experience that would allow us to make countless, lasting memories with the ones we love most.
I started googling “big estates you can get married on” when I stumbled upon Casale de’ Pasquinelli wedding venue.
We immediately fell in love with this stunning property located on the hills of Lucca in Tuscany, surrounded by oaks and olive trees.
The apartments enjoy a spectacular view over the plain of Lucca, and its peaceful and rustic surroundings looked both natural and elegant.
However, being from New Jersey, we thought to ourselves “okay, this could never work it’s too crazy of an idea!”.
Five minutes later we were looking at each other saying… “Is this really THAT crazy of an idea?”.
Within the week we sent the deposit to reserve our date… at this point, we had never even been to Italy let alone seen our venue in person!
Everyone thought we were crazy!
It was a huge gamble but the absolute best decision we have ever made.
We had the most incredible week of our lives with 100 of our closest friends and families that culminated with our breathtaking wedding day!
We could never express how special it was to have all our friends and family fly to the beautiful country of Italy to celebrate with us.
It was a day full of love and magic that we will truly never forget!”
