Haley and Tom had a beautiful Hotel Xcaret wedding in Mexico. The tropical ceremony took place this past October with their loved ones present.
“A man with hugs that coat you like a blanket, lover of movies, and truly the nicest man in the world” recently tied the knot with his captivating bride in one of the most spectacular settings in the Riviera Maya.
Their dream wedding location was the Xpiral Pyramid, situated 150 feet above the Yucatan jungle at Hotel Xcaret, just south of Playa del Carmen, Mexico.
Flashing back nine years ago, Haley and Tom first caught sight of each other in their accounting class at Purdue University.
A couple of months later, Haley caught sight of him at a fraternity party. Tom said he had an enormous crush on the beautiful blonde, but decided to stay away.
A couple of years later, she spied him at a bar, called him over, and upon taking a shot, he confessed he liked her.
However, Haley was a bit hesitant about the mysterious, east coast boy who entered her life. With cool persuasions from friends and family, Haley let her guard down and the couple officially started dating.
After graduation, career moves, a dog, a cat, and a storybook proposal at the Cliffs of Mohr in Ireland, the couple started planning their destination wedding at Hotel Xcaret.
The hotel, situated within a lush jungle oasis, was the perfect location to celebrate their day with family and friends.
Easy access from all parts of the world by plane, with the ability to get married within Mexican pandemic procedures, the couple persevered through 2020 and their dream wedding was becoming a reality.
Inspired by the natural, tropical surroundings, the couple chose monstera palm leaves, lush ferns, baby breath, and white roses accented with beige pampas grass for their decor.
The floral designers created a dramatic aisle of feather-like plumes made of beige pampas and baby breath, with a semi-circle pampas grass altar for the couple’s nuptials.
The reception tables were adorned with tall and short modern tropical arrangements with table numbers made from books, custom made by the Bride.
For a touch of elegance, a crystal chandelier set the scene at the welcome table for the guests.
For her dress, the Bride chose a timeless, classic wedding dress by Enzoani with a one-tier Chapel length lace veil.
To complete her look, an elegant, cascading bouquet with pampas accents created the bridal look she envisioned.
The real surprise came during the bridal party announcement.
The Bride, rocking a vogue, white detachable, hi-low reception dress with puff sleeves and crystal-embellished heels was showered with silver confetti with her new husband during the couple’s first dance. And that was only the beginning.
The dance was complete with a choreographed dipped kiss with a roar of applause from the guests.
Champagne, speeches, exquisite Yucatan cuisine, and a night of dancing followed, with spectacular fireworks over the sea as the grand finale. Truly, a fairytale wedding dream come true.
