Bowen and Maranda met through mutual friends in April 2015. They dated throughout our time spent at the University of Alabama. Upon graduation in 2017, Maranda moved to Birmingham, AL, to work at Children’s Hospital. This was the beginning of their long-distance journey.
Bowen finished up his degree in May of 2018 and accepted a job in Charlotte, NC. They spent many weekends traveling back and forth from Birmingham to Charlotte. Maranda eventually moved back to Mobile, AL, to finish grad school, which increased the distance, but they both knew they had something special worth bearing the long distance.
Bowen and Maranda went on a Valentine’s weekend trip to Lake Toxaway, NC. Bowen planned a hike on February 15th, and on this hike is when he popped the question and asked to spend forever together.
Maranda had never been more surprised in her life!!! It was the perfect day, and they both still smile, looking back at it. After almost four years of long-distance dating, the two officially tied the knot and cant wait to start their lives TOGETHER as husband and wife!!
