From the bride on her Wagner Cove wedding:
“Scott and I met on Instagram about 2 years ago and were only acquaintances up until March of 2020 when the first major Covid shutdown took place. We are a genuine Covid created romance!
We began sending messages through Instagram, but I ignored his first few messages until I became confident he was a real person, and not a catfish haha. We started having video dates over the next few months until it was safe to meet.
We started dating immediately the first day we met in person, and have been together since. I recently relocated from my hometown in Los Angeles to the east coast where we now live together.
We chose to have a Wagner Cove wedding in Central Park because my family is based in California and Scott’s family is based in England. With the Covid travel restrictions, it was going to be a while before we could safely get everyone together, and I am getting ready to start grad school at Columbia in August.
We decided to elope because we wanted to be married now so that we could be husband and wife as soon as possible. We plan to celebrate in person with family next summer once I graduate from Columbia.
We chose our elopement location because we live just a couple miles from Central Park, it provides a gorgeous setting, and I have been enamored with the park since first visiting over 10 years ago.”
