We had the BEST time celebrating Lexi and Tyler at their Monastery Event Center Wedding!!
Not many people can say they got married twice…in the same year…to the same person! Thanks to a global pandemic, these two are one of those special couples!
They eloped during 2020 but still got to have the full wedding celebration a year later, which was incredible!
Their vow renewal was beautiful and perfectly celebrated their commitment to God, each other, and their loved ones.
This wedding had the BEST bridal party entrances I’ve ever seen (seriously, so creative!), a surprise new wedding band, a surprise Father/Daughter dance with a video of the bride and her dad dancing at her parents vowel renewal years before (cue all the tears).
The entire day felt like one giant party, that was long overdue!
From the bride:
Q: What was your favorite or most memorable part of your wedding day?
A: Our favorite part of our wedding was having everyone we loved in the same place, especially after having to cancel our original wedding date. It felt so surreal to finally have everyone we loved there to celebrate with us.
Our most memorable moment was everyone having a blast on the dance floor together…EVERYONE was dancing! It was pure joy-some of my favorite pictures of the night were of people dancing!
Q: What’s a piece of advice you’d give to a bride planning her big day? Feel free to share about what that was like with COVID restrictions, etc. since that’s still affected couples planning their weddings!
A: My piece of advice to any bride would be to not get caught up in all the little details. After our wedding got canceled due to COVID, everything was put to a halt. I started stressing about every little thing, but I started thinking more of WHY we wanted to get married.
All the little things don’t matter in the end. It’s the act of marriage between me and my husband and having everyone we love there to witness it. We had a small ceremony with just immediate family-it was intimate and perfect.
We partied a year later-it was epic and we renewed our vows, being reminded of our love and the reasons we got married. I am thankful for a second round of wedding planning, I didn’t get caught up in all the stressful details.
I made it the day I envisioned and it turned out to be even better because I took a step back and remembered what was important. The love and the people-the people who attended and the people who made it possible!
Remember to not only send thank you notes to your guests but also your vendors who do everything they can to make YOUR day a dream come true!
