Emily & Pete hosted their friends and families on the historic grounds of The Country Club of Rochester wedding venue. The well-manicured grounds, blooming flower beds, and lush golf greens made the perfect backdrop for their Summer wedding.
Spending the day capturing Emily & Pete’s wedding at The Country Club of Rochester, it was so apparent not only how much love these two have for each other but how much love their families have for them both.
I loved how humble and well-balanced both Emily & Pete were about their wedding. From our first conversation, they had expressed to me that this wedding was about their marriage and their families.
What made you choose The Country Club of Rochester as your venue?
From the bride: “Peter’s mom is a member, so when we were first talking about where we wanted to get married, The Country Club of Rochester came up. The fact that we could have both the ceremony and reception in one space was a plus for us. The convenience of having both parts on the same site made it seem like our day would run that much smoother. We wanted our guests not to have to worry about travel time from the ceremony site to the reception site, on top of having enough parking and bathrooms for everyone.”
What was your favorite moment from your wedding day?
“I have so many favorite moments from the wedding; honestly, it’s hard to pick. So the girls and I got ready in the Women’s Lounge, which overlooked the ceremony spot and reception tent. While we were waiting for the guys to get set with their boutonniere and for Peter to be set up for our first look, I caught a glimpse of him walking out. That was the moment I realized, “Holy crap, we are doing this!”. “
Their First Look
“When Casey walked us down to do the first look, all I could think about was how much I had looked forward to this moment of him seeing me for the first time, and boy was I not disappointed! The look on his face when he saw me was priceless, and I will forever relive that moment.”
Peter’s favorite moment from your wedding day?
My favorite part of the wedding was how everything fit perfectly and flowed smoothly!
All the arrangements were placed spaciously, and the tent was a perfect size. Everyone had options to dance, hang on the lawn, sit by the fire pit, or under an umbrella. The bars were never packed, and everyone was able to relax and enjoy each other’s company! I was very pleased with the flow of the whole ceremony and reception. From start to finish, I never felt rushed, and we were able to capture every special moment throughout; thanks to you, Casey!
Advice For Newlywed Couples
“Oh gosh, so much. I think Pete and I would answer this differently. My advice would be t6o make sure you are heard and celebrated the way you want to be. You have people that love and support you that you can lean on when things get confusing or you don’t know what decision to make. There aren’t any wrong decisions in planning a wedding, but make sure you include what’s most important to the two of you.“
