Taylor and Jared’s Kiawah Island Wedding

Taylor and Jared’s Kiawah Island wedding had a vacation feel. From the bride: “A few years ago, my sister also had her wedding at Kiawah Island and we loved it. We loved the feel of a special vacation for our day, and a time for family and friends to all come together and spend not just one, but multiple days together in a beautiful location.” The bride and groom chose soft, pastel colors with an autumn spin. Nature did the decorating for them, with small personal touches added here and there.

From the bride: “We wanted to keep things pretty simple, yet add small touches here and there. We knew we wanted lights strung in the trees so we could dance into the night, and florals spread throughout. We kept most of the decor in the autumn tones, with touches of gold in ribbons and such. We even incorporated our favors in the decor by potting individual succulents, which turned out to be one of my favorite parts of the wedding. My mom took the time to create a few signs, make some beautiful lantern arrangements, and did pot every single one of the succulents, but most of our decorations did not take much DIY.”
