Tania & Sean's Elegant Urban Wedding

Tania & Sean’s elegant urban wedding took place at Bridgeport Art Center in Chicago last May.

How they met: They met through mutual friends during the Summer of 2014. At The University of Iowa in Iowa City, Tania was a dental student and Sean was a medical student in a dual program also doing his PhD. There was instant chemistry and a spark with the depth and quality of their conversations and interest in each other. Soon, one of their mutual good friends began putting his match making skills to work and smoothly invited the two of them to several events so they had the chance to bump into each other. Sean truly swept Tania off her feet when he invited her out to a romantic dinner and surprised her with a night of salsa dancing. They had the time of their lives!

From the bride: The inspiration behind our wedding was pure FUSION.We chose Chicago because the both of us call the Chicago suburbs home, yet have not lived there since leaving for college, over a decade ago! It was the perfect hub to bring our wedding back home yet make it an easy “destination” wedding since all of our family and friends would join us from all over the country! In terms of the venue, Sean is all about the woodwork of our venue while I was all about the romantic elegance in the drapery decor which is popular to use in he main aisle of the BAC Skyline loft. To complement our romantic theme, we chose a blush and ivory color pallete with accents metallic gold. Plus, with the panoramic views of Chicago’s skyline, it was the perfect opportunity to show off our hometown!
