Taylor and Charlie had a very low-key Sunset Cliffs wedding in San Diego, CA on Halloween in 2020. Their friends and family were present, and all their details were done by the couple themselves or by their friends, keeping things simple (but still so beautiful!).
Sunset Cliffs is one of the most perfect spots to get married in the San Diego area. The scenic coastline is an amazing spot to view the sunset, and the rock formations at the cliffside are breathtaking. It can be busy on warmer days, but you really can’t beat the view and the mild winds. This couple found a spot off the beaten path for a slightly more private feel.
Taylor and Charlie wanted a really natural feel to let the backdrop really stand out for their elopement. Their colors matched the beach vibes and her dress played up the boho feel of this Sunset Cliffs wedding. They had their pup along with them too, which was so cute!
They wrote their own vows and exchanged them during the first look instead of the ceremony, another super special and intimate moment for the two of them.
What I loved most about this couple and this day, though, was that they didn’t take it or themselves too seriously. They were goofy, laid back, and really silly with each other. They were so calm and ready to be married, and that opened up this really playful spirit in them that I loved so much.
They booked with me about a month before their day, just wanting some special photos by the water to remember it and they had a special, small dinner afterward. It was a privilege to be let into such an intimate and special moment with these two!
