From the bride: We chose to have a Sprague Lake wedding because we both wanted something intimate where we could focus on each other and be fully present surrounded by nature.
Eloping in Estes Park, Colorado gave us that opportunity whereas a traditional wedding would not have.
We actually met in kindergarten! We were in the same class and then Matthew moved away and attended a different school. We have a cute kindergarten class photo together!
We went to middle and high school together and had lots of mutual friends, but we didn’t begin dating until college.
We both love hiking in the mountains so when we imagined where we’d spend our perfect day together, Colorado was our first choice.
We chose to do a sunrise Sprague Lake wedding in Rocky Mountain National Park because it looked so serene and would allow us to have an intimate ceremony surrounded by nature just as we had dreamed.
Our photographer, Paige, told us we’d likely see some elk near the water and about 2 minutes after we said “I do,” two moose walked across the lake! It was absolutely perfect!”
