Shayla and Zachary’s The Astorian Wedding

Shayla and Zach’s January wedding at The Astorian was romantic and timeless. The new husband and wife used the Houston skyline as inspiration for their special day.

They included the silhouette of the skyline on their wedding invitation. The romance and glamour of city life at night was evident all throughout their gorgeous wedding.

Bridesmaids wore black gowns that perfectly contrasted their red bouquets and the bride’s white gown.

This is all a result of the jaw-dropping views offered by their venue. Discreetly situated in a landmark building, as designated by The Houston Historical Society, the venue was built in the 1940s.

This industrial chic private loft space was designed to replicate New York City’s revered Grand Central Station.

The couple added stunning floral arrangements to the tables with reds, pinks and purples. They popped against black linens and candle-lit tables.Warm touches such as wood paneling and soft lighting combined with modern elements like stained concrete floors, rusted steel, brushed aluminum, and brass and copper detailing provided a vintage feel.
