The Ritz-Carlton Charlotte Wedding

1 pandemic led this amazing couple, Lindsay & Bishal to: 3.5 years of planning their Ritz-Carlton Charlotte Wedding , 3 separate wedding ceremonies, 5 bridal fashion looks, 4 “first” looks between the Bride & Groom, 2 event weekends & 2 separate occasions to splurge on the Grooms’ favorite Bourbon with his beautiful bride.

Oh, did I mention the groom is currently in a 7-year oral surgery residency program (which is like having 2 full-time jobs) AND that they planned all of these events remotely to have all of their family and friends back in their home-state?

Nothing could’ve stopped this couple from celebrating their love and true dedication to each other. These 2 NC natives, currently residing in Lexington, KY (hence the Bourbon); have 1 *heck* of a story to tell their kids one day about their big day.

From the bride: My husband is Indian, so our wedding weekend was about celebrating two cultures and bringing everyone together as one family. I began Friday night with our Sangeet. A Sangeet is a night filled with music, dinner, dancing, and performances. It celebrates the union of not only the couple but the bonding of both families.

We also had Mehndi (henna) artist at the Sangeet for our guests.

On Saturday morning, started with the Baraat which a celebratory wedding procession for the groom involving live music and dancing. My husband came in on a horse followed by all his friends and family dancing around him.

Then we had a traditional Sikh ceremony in the Gurdwara.

Later that evening, we had a traditional American wedding ceremony at the Ritz-Carlton.

The most anticipated moment of my day was seeing him at our first look. Seeing him erased all nerves and its all I could wait for all day.

The most special moment though was he and I escaped on our own for about 30 minutes during cocktail hour. We’re both into bourbon, so we open a special bottle and had a drink to ourselves to just enjoy each other

My best advise is to do what feels like you. The most special weddings are unique to the couple. You can feel it and the guest can feel it.
