For Jamie and Mike the right move for their wedding was to stay close to home. “We loved having the ceremony and party at my parent’s beach house,” said Jamie. “It made everything familiar, comfortable, and intimate.” Wedding designer Clarissa Jones took her styling cues from the ocean setting, using dreamy watercolors and romantic sea creatures to craft the perfect look. “I kept seeing images of watercolors and I thought that would be a great way to play on the water idea,” Jones says. “White, blush, mint green, cool aqua, and warm beige – I used those colors to dictate the feel of the day. “The reception featured the bride’s and groom’s favorite foods served fresh off the family stove by Contemporary Catering, who created island-style noshes to match the light and airy vibe of the day. Another perfect creation? Jamie’s dress, which was a mash-up of two different vintage dresses, and was completed the week before the wedding. She says “It was personal, unique, and came out exactly how I imagined!”
