Ralston & Nick’s elegant California wedding took place at a church and country club in San Juan Capistrano last fall.
From the bride: We wanted our day to be classic, elegant and timeless. We incorporated gold, ivory, pale pink and silver green as our colors, although we didn’t let our color scheme determine every design choice we made. It was important to to us to stick to the elegant theme because that is what our Basilica/ Country Club venues called for. Our flowers were the most important part of our color scheme. Our florist made beautiful tall and short centerpieces that consisted of pale pink and white flowers, and silver green eucalyptus leaves. These colors were also incorporated in the bridesmaids’ bouquets. Our sweetheart table had a long floral arrangement that we displayed at cocktail hour on a mantlepiece and later moved to our table for dinner so our guests could enjoy it for as long as possible.
From the photographer: Classic romance. Elegant beauty. Two phrases that quickly come to mind as I look back on Ralston and Nick’s stunning wedding day. Nick grew up in Tuscon, AZ and met his lovely bride in college. She grew up in San Juan Capistrano, CA where they were married at the Basilica and famed Mission San Juan Capistrano. The day started with a little lucky rain, but quickly cleared up and made way for a truly stunning day. An emotional “first-touch” was shared, keeping with the tradition of not seeing each other before the ceremony. The bride arrived to the ceremony in true style, riding in an all-white Rolls Royce! Once the I-do’s were swapped and sealed with a kiss, the wedding bells rang proudly, the sound resounding for all to hear, even blocks away.
