Perry Lane Wedding

Perry Lane Wedding: Kyle and I met all thanks to the wedding industry!! My Mom is a wedding planner, and Kyle’s sister-in-law, Kristin, works with her Mom who is a florist. Well, we just so happen to all be working a wedding together in Atlanta when Kristin and I met.

After chatting while setting up for the wedding, Kristin thought I would be perfect for Kyle and quickly stated “You’re going to marry my brother in-law.” The rest is really history!

Fast forward a couple years and many long- distance weekend trips from Tennessee to Atlanta, and I was finally able to move to Atlanta permanently.

Turns out Kristin was right, and not only were Kyle and I perfect for each other, but we got engaged September 19th, 2020 at his parent’s lake house on Lake Oconee.

It truly was the craziest surprise ever and we were so fortunate to share our engagement day with all of our family and friends.

Wedding Planning/Details

We quickly jumped into wedding planning and had our date set for June 19th, 2021. We both wanted to get married in Savannah, GA, my hometown, and a city that we both adore.

I feel like we can truly say our wedding planning process was not typical, as we both walked away saying it was SO EASY!! I think that happens when your Mom is a wedding planner in Savannah and can assemble an incredible vendor team (that is more like family to us) in a matter of hours.

While the actual wedding planning process was seamless, the beginning of 2021 proved to be a challenging one for me and my family on a personal level. I lost my Dad unexpectedly in February, and instantly had a newfound perspective and desire to incorporate as many special moments into our day as we could.

From his name on his scrubs sewn into my wedding dress, his crosses on my bouquet, and Kyle wearing his favorite tie, he was present in so many elements of our day. My mom said it perfectly “Dad, would want this day to be nothing but joyful,” so that is what we did!
