Fusing two cultures, Natalia & Chris’ Connecticut countryside wedding was held at The Candlewood Inn in Brookfield.
From the photographer: One great decision they made was to perform their preparations at the stunning Terrywile Mansion in Danbury, CT. It’s a beautifully preserved Victorian-styled property built in the 1890s, and we were able to grab some timeless photos there before the couple dashed off to the lakeside Candlewood Inn event center for their ceremony and reception. The Inn, beautiful in its own right, features a beautiful view of its namesake Candlewood Lake. Natalia and Chris opted for a lakeside ceremony, and while rain had threatened for days to force their ceremony indoors, the clouds relented on their wedding day and gave them a sunny celebration!
From the bride: Our color theme was ivory, navy, dusty blue, and coral. We also incorporated both American and Brazilian traditions along with a Christian ceremony. We wanted to show that two people of different cultures could come together and make something beautiful. It was important that we provide a personal touch for our guests. We had a Caipirinha station (traditional Brazilian drink) during the cocktail hour that was a huge hit. We also had a Brazilian sweet table with several traditional sweets from Brazil that provided a taste from home. In addition to this, we had a seven-piece-band who kept our guests dancing the whole time. These were definitely unique and some of our favorite parts.
