Toni & Jeff were married on July 17, 2021 at Moonstone Manor wedding venue in Elizabethtown, PA. Toni always says she feels the calmest in nature, so she embraced that feeling and vision and planned a garden inspired, ethereal wedding day with a light and airy, clean environment and organic touches.
The color palette chosen was, as described by the bride, warm with fresh neutrals. Grey, mauve and golden-yellow with crisp white were layered in woven textures, glasses, and wooden accents. The neutral tones and earthy elements came together to create a timeless elegance with a relaxed and whimsical twist.
The original plan included a large-scale wedding with a big guest list. Toni & Jeff met in college and they wanted to include all their many friends and family who have been a part of their journey over the past 10 years.
The day they have been planning for far too long was finally here and they had to face one more obstacle: the weather.
They chose an outdoor venue to fulfill their romantic, garden dreams but the forecast showed extreme heat and heavy rain, forcing the bride to make the ultimate decision to move the ceremony to the covered chapel area available within the venue.
The lush flower arch designed by Jeffrey’s Flower wowed all guests upon their arrival. The greenery-filled arch and floral arrangements brought the outdoor garden feel to the covered ceremony site. A plan B was well executed that tied in the ethereal garden theme very well.
After they said I do in front of their loved ones, Rettew’s Catering started serving delicious and well presented cocktail hour food for their guests as they looked for their assigned tables. The bride designed the escort cards herself and styled them on gold flower frog holders bringing the garden vibes to life while making sure the cards were one of a kind! Deckle-edged, calligraphed assignments by RSCalligraphyCo. finished off the look.
The floor was well planned by Susan from That’s it wedding Concepts. The tables were well spread out and covered in beautiful crisp white linens and decorated with different floral arrangements, clear vases and candles. The couple also chose to add freshly baked french baguette with handmade herb butter to the tables to complete the decor with some edible item.
Shades of pink and Barberton daisy’s added warmth to the reception blooms and cascading eucalyptus hung from the chandeliers to complete the organic, ethereal look.
The simple yet beautiful two-tiered cake was adorned with fresh florals and greenery to deliver a touch of natural elegance.
And to add a personalized touch to the drinks menu, Toni and Jeff chose a garden-inspired signature cocktail drink made with elderflower and prosecco.
During the reception, while the DJ gathered everyone on the dance floor with contagious music, a severe thunderstorm and flood warning alarm sounded. But believe it or not, the bride says this turned out to be her favorite moment! Right after the thunder stopped, I asked if they wanted to brave the storm for a few pictures and they didn’t turn down the opportunity to kiss in the rain. Toni & Jeff embraced under twinkle lights and bubble umbrellas just enjoying the moment together and let the magic unfold!
Toni and Jeff returned to the beautifully draped and lit white tent and joined their guests on the dance floor. They danced the night away and never stopped smiling – not even for a second!
When asked for one piece of advice she could share with other brides planning their weddings, she said: “Don’t stress! Enjoy every moment and soak it all in (including the rain)!”
