Monterey Peninsula Country Club Wedding

From the photographer: From the moment we arrived at the getting ready cottage, we knew this Monterey Peninsula Country Club wedding was going to be a dream!

We had met Teresa and John nearly a year earlier and captured their gorgeous engagement session. The shoot started along the greens of The Beach & Tennis Club at Pebble Beach, ending along the rocky cliffs of Big Sur for sunset.

There was no surface-level talking when we met. We went deep from there’s no such thing as chance meetings, what we want for our futures, and the true meaning of marriage, all while walking the Pacific Ocean’s edge dreaming about their upcoming wedding.

On their wedding day, the girls were getting hair and makeup done by the amazing Blush Studios so we immediately knew they were going to be flawless!

Teresa had chosen to use the wedding day timeline we created for her, so we had ample time for morning details, toasting champagne, daddy-daughter first look, bride and groom first look, couples portraits, and bridal party portraits, all before we left for the church.

Walking down the aisle of Carmel Mission is her stunning Essense of Australia gown and Badgley Mischka heels, arm in arm with her father, it was as if Teresa was floating on air.

John has this smile of uncontrollable happiness, and together they radiated everything a marriage stands for.

We couldn’t imagine a more perfect person for one another!

After a beautiful wedding ceremony, we still had plenty of time to capture family and husband and wife portraits using the history mission background. Then we headed back to the Monterey Peninsula Country Club for them to join cocktail hour.

We knew this was going to be an incredible celebration with Jon Belmont in charge of the entertainment!

Dinner was served and before anyone noticed, we slipped John and Teresa outside for a few minutes of the most romantic sunset portraits.

We took pictures of them along the greens of Monterey Peninsula Country Club with views of Pebble Beach and the ocean as far as the eye could see.

Exchanging high fives and hugs as we all made our way back inside for dancing, knowing we had just made a friendship for life with John and Teresa.

Teresa’s most anticipated moment was when the doors of the Carmel Mission swung open, and she got to see all her friends, family, and future husband waiting inside!

John’s most anticipated moment was their first look at Monterey Peninsula Country Club because he viewed it as a culmination of all the time, energy, and passion that Teresa put into their special day.

The bride’s advice: Even though it can be difficult during the height of wedding planning, our advice is to keep the focus on the real reason why the planning is taking place.

We tried to keep the following in the forefront of our minds throughout the planning – a wedding is a day, but a marriage is a lifetime! Our marriage advice is to laugh often.
