Melissa and Jason’s magical mountain wedding took place on March 7, 2020, in Telluride, CO. Their wedding was a spectacular winter celebration in two of Colorado’s most popular mountain top destinations, the San Sophia Overlook and Gorrono Ranch. From the photographer: “These venues are both in Telluride and provided wonderful backdrops for the ceremony. During the reception, it started to snow and the couple went out onto the deck of Gorrono ranch and began to dance. These shots were my favorite of the day. ”
The couple was married in picture-perfect conditions with a jaw-dropping backdrop. The snow-packed mountain and winter greens made guests feel like they were in a winter wonderland even though it was March. A light dusting of snow began to fall just after the couple was married, making for unforgettable pictures. Bridesmaids wore pretty dark green velvet dresses and carried lush bouquets of pink, white, and orange flowers accented by greenery. The magical mountain wedding continued in the ranch’s rustic barn, where the bride and groom and their guests danced the night away. DIY-themed decor, twinkling lights, old barrels, and lots of exposed wood, gave this wedding a cozy, sitting-by-the-fireplace feel.
