With guests from all over the world, the groom’s British roots was the inspiration behind Mary-Kate & Dan’s international affair. The bride’s statement shoes and the groom’s cake both adorned the British flag.
From the bride: I met my very own Prince Charming in 2010, in Memphis at Christian Brothers University where we were both playing soccer. On the very last day of pre-season I was injured and had to get my ankle checked out. As I’m sitting there, drenched in sweat, in walks a gorgeous, glistening, shirtless man. I quickly wiped away my tears while trying to make myself look presentable. He walked over to me, and in the cutest British accent, asked “Are you alright?” (I was then!) He stayed with me and even helped me back to my dorm. That was the first time I spent with my future husband, Daniel Jenkins. From that day on, we were inseparable, except for holidays away from school (he’s British).
From the photographer: Mary-Kate and Dan’s wedding was an absolute dream. They were married at the same church Mary-Kate’s parents married in many years ago (very close to the same day!). It was a glamorous international affair, as Dan’s extended family lives in Europe and Asia, and Mary-Kate’s extended family lives in Ireland! The whole night was magical.
