A private backyard filled with a guest list of 52 was the ideal setting for Liza & Joe’s intimate backyard wedding in Pennsylvania.
A simple wooden arch anchored the ceremony altar for this intimate backyard wedding. After the ceremony, guests moved over to the reception area with long farm tables without linens. Gorgeous greenery runners lined the tables.
From the bride: When Joe and I began planning our wedding last March there were two things we envisioned it would be; simple and intimate. With those two things in mind, we picked our venue, a family friend’s property, and we compiled a guest list with a grand total of 52 people. As for the lunch boxes, that idea came after we struggled to find a reasonably priced caterer we liked. So instead of doing a fancier full course meal we opted to use a local cafe and serve our guests a sandwich, homemade chips, salad, and a cookie all neatly packaged in a brown craft box stamped with a little message. There was no dancing, but instead, people sat around the fire, played games, and just socialized. It was a very laid back and stress free day for Joe and I and we are so thankful we were able to fully enjoy ourselves with our closest family and friends.
