Festivities were held at Maison Montegut, a historic museum in New Orleans’ French Quarter. The charm of the venue along brought together the ambiance of this traditional New Orleans wedding, complete with balconies and string lights.

From the bride: After a twenty-six year marriage, (not having dated since the 80’s) finding myself single again was daunting! Ed and I met online (I TOTALLY credit my fantastic dating head shots from VeroLuce Photography with my painless transition back into dating!). He was by far the funniest, most attractive guy on the site…and he gave “good chat” which was vital to me. The first date (I have to admit) had no sparks. He was much more quiet than I expected…it was awkward. But I’m a firm believer in “second dates” and as I say he moved in “one guitar at a time”. One of our first trips was to New Orleans, and one day we heard a parade outside of our hotel room. When we rushed to the balcony, we saw our first “second line” (an actual wedding parade led my a marching band, cops and the married couple and followed by all their guests …dancing and swinging white hankies.)We both silently had the same thought (OMG, this IS SOOOOO the best place to get married). We always knew when the time came, NOLA would be the perfect destination to host a wedding.
