Just like Brian’s proposal (see the full scoop below), this desert wedding was fun and festive. Set in Palm Springs, California at Colony 29, the couple showcased their love of being outdoors.
Fun was definitely the theme for Katie & Brian’s wedding. Bridesmaids were dressed in alternating maroon and yellow cocktail dresses, the perfect blend of desert colors. Cacti in colorful pink pots lined the head table, which was surrounded by pink chairs. Their signature drink even had the name “Cactus Cooler,” enhancing the desert setting. Cards of Humanity made an appearance as the inspiration for the table assignments.
How he asked: He popped the question in a way that was straight out of a movie. She woke up surrounded by streamers, flowers, photos from throughout their relationship, and tons and tons of balloons. “He had decorated the entire house,” Katie recalls. “And since we’d just moved in, there was no furniture, just these reminders of us. Flowers lined the hallway to the living room, where there was a huge banner that read, ‘Katie will you marry me?’ When I saw it, he got down on one knee.”
