The couple met when their closest friends unintentionally played matchmaker. Kacey and Michael went to the same university for three years and had never crossed paths. So, when they later met in their hometown to spend time with a group of mutual friends, their friends were unintentionally playing matchmaker. They knew they were meant to be forever after a year of long-distance dating.
