Jessica & Daniel’s vintage greenhouse wedding as held outdoors at Bird Haven Greenhouse in Joliet, Illinois.
This venue gave this vintage greenhouse wedding an ambiance that was like being in your backyard. The ceremony was held on the lawn and the altar was anchored by a simple white arch. After the ceremony, the couple snuck away to the greenhouse for portraits. Guests moved to a tented area for the reception. Tables were draped in white linens with bundles of baby’s breath as centerpieces.
From the photographer: Daniel proposed to Jessica in a way no girl can refuse. I don’t remember the story perfectly, but it involved her coming home from work to rose petals leading up to a wardrobe of dresses laid out for her to pick from. A couple of more notes involving getting dressed, having a drink, and waiting for a car and then a white Rolls Royce showed up to whisk her off to Daniel. When she arrived at the harbor, he had white twinkle lights, candles, and beautiful music playing on the boat dock where they take their weekend trips on the lake in Chicago. He proposed right there and she, of course, said yes.
