Jennifer & Shane’s whimsical outdoor wedding was held at a rental home overlooking Lake Oconee in Georgia.
Both the ceremony and reception for this whimsical outdoor wedding was held outside. The ceremony took place at the lake’s edge. After the ceremony, guests moved under the tent, which was draped with string lights and chandeliers, for the reception. On the wood farm tables, miss-matched china was set at each place setting.
From the photographer: Being asked by a fellow photographer to shoot her wedding is such a compliment, yet makes you extra nervous. Jennifer’s wedding was so perfect in every detail, and she made all those details herself, including the flowers. You can tell she shoots weddings and pays attention to the details that really tell a couple’s story. Even their ceremony songs were Beatles songs and the way they incorporated their children in the ceremony and reception was so special and emotional. The unexpected totally happened all day as it usually does with weddings, their son took a bad fall, it began to rain out of nowhere, and yet Jennifer never lost her cool. We just waited for it to stop raining to start photos and the ceremony and it ended up adding a special touch.
