Jenna and Dallas had a fairytale elopement. It was the perfect ending to an amazing love story. The bride and groom went to the same high school and dated briefly after they both had graduated. From the bride: “After high school, we both worked at the Mirage and casually dated for a few months. I was planning to move to LA to pursue my dreams and he didn’t want to hold me back. We were young and on different life paths. So we went out separate ways. I met someone else after that and decided to stay in Las Vegas. I went back to work for the Mirage and ran into Dallas one last time. I showed him I had gotten engaged. He said his heart sank and he wanted to say something so bad. He wanted to say, “What!? Engaged? I thought you were leaving? I never would have stopped talking to you if you would have stayed. Don’t marry him!” But he didn’t. He swallowed it, said congratulations, and walked away. Shortly after that he left the Mirage to join the police academy. That was the last time I saw or spoke to him for 12 years. He doesn’t have social media and we don’t have mutual friends so we lost all contact. Then two September’s ago, I sat down at my computer at work to an email with his name on it. I couldn’t believe what I saw. We met for coffee and he told me he was going through a divorce. I told him I didn’t want to get involved. He kept in touch for about 3 months and the day his divorce was recorded he came over to my house and said, “Jenna, you were the one that got away. I’ve thought about you for the last 12 years and I’m not letting you go this time.” And now we are husband and wife!
Jenna and Dallas’s fairytale elopement is a true meaning of love conquers all. From the photographer: “This elopement shows that you can still celebrate love, you can still be elegant and luxurious even at a smaller scale. We celebrated this love story on the beach to add a romantic vibe. We added large wedding arrangements at the altar to lean away from the traditional arch and candles to set the tone!”
