The soft white walls of the venue set the stage for Jane & Phillip’s romantic wedding. While New York City has an atmosphere of busy and harsh, this wedding is the complete opposite.
The ceremony arch was a garland of greenery with touches of pink roses. White and blush were the dynamic duo of colors for this romantic wedding. The groom even had his personal touch of different comic cuff links for him and his groomsmen. Groomsmen also wore plush felt hearts in lieu of boutonnieres.
How he proposed: On April 25th, 2015, Phil dragged Jane to New Hampshire under the pretense of a hiking/photography trip and brought her to the retreat campsite where they first met. As they stood by the lake, Phil bent a knee and Jane thought he tripped and said “get up!” Nonetheless, Phil continued his sweet, romantic proposal and finally brought out the ring, at which Jane finally realized this was for realsies and replied “Really? Right now?” Thankfully, she immediately exclaimed a big “YES!” and was filled with tears of joy. Phil had rented a large picnic basket filled with food and champagne. They celebrated together surrounded by hundreds of yellow tulips (Jane’s favorite flowers).
