Industrial Winter Wedding Inspiration at The Hudson

Embracing the venue, this industrial winter wedding styled shoot captures the warehouse feel while using flowers to soften the space for a romantic touch.

From the photographer: Winter weddings have always been so endearing and out of the ordinary to me. I wanted my shoot to have a mix of winter-y coziness with a modern industrial feel to it, so my color palette was inspired by a snow-covered forest with greens, browns, grays and white and our venue, The Hudson, Wichita’s newest wedding venue, that brought about the perfect element of vintage and modern. The Hudson, built in the 1950s, is an old warehouse and shop renovated to a wedding venue that provides the perfect blend of history and modern in its architecture and personality.

The florist opted for darker greenery for this industrial winter wedding styled shoot.

Our tablescape featured an abundance of winter greenery-evergreen, thistles, berries and even pheasant feathers, and a plethra of golden candle sticks to emit a warm fireside glow. The whiskey + cigar bar with its vintage feel makes you want to sit and stay a while, enjoying a cigar or feel the whiskey’s warmth run down your throat after that first sip. With a cake made of cinnamon rolls and dripping with cream cheese frosting showcased by the vintage stereo cabinet, it was hard not to take a bite right then and there! The bride wore a long sleeve lace & chiffon gown designed by Lillian West and an original fur shawl that was my grandmother’s.
