From the bride: Hummingbird Estate wedding venue, located in Southern Oregon, is so dreamy.
The initial inspiration for our wedding was anything boho. I’ve always loved that style.
Once we found the venue, which was love at first sight, all my inspiration came together.
It is an old, 1920’s estate that had just recently been restored and turned into an elegant bed and breakfast.
The venue is complete with vineyards and a tasting room on a vast, 47-acre property.
From the moment you turn onto the long drive, up past the grapevines, and hit a slight bend, the estate becomes visible.
It is like you are transported into a different time and place.
It gave me a princess/castle feel. I wanted my wedding to be timeless, elegant, and princessy in a bohemian way.
Since our Hummingbird Estate wedding was in September, I wanted a burnt orange/copper color to go with my favorite, pastel pink.
The theme centered around the venue and the colors. I wanted lots of pampas grass, silver-grey foliage, and anything glass and flowy.
I wanted our guests to feel like they were in another country, or better yet, a fairytale.
Because of our love for the outdoors, the flowers and foliage were important to me.
We met with Stacey Denton, of Flora Farm and Design, very early on in the planning process.
Flora Farm and Design is a local, sustainable farm and floral design business located in Williams, Oregon.
Stacey came with us to Hummingbird Estate so she could get a feel for the venue and the foliage that I was envisioning.
I know she put many months of planning, growing, hoping, and creative inspiration into the florals.
I loved being able to use locally grown flowers, and knowing some were grown specifically for my wedding made it extra special.
One of my favorite memories of the day was looking out at the venue from my bridal suite and seeing everything come together as the guests arrived.
The most special moment of our wedding day was dancing to the song, “Prayed For You”, by Matt Stell.
This song is very special to us. It tells a story of how we both know God prepared us for one another and how everything we have been through led us to each other.
We also had an amazing ceremony that our Pastor did a wonderful job with, a feast of food from a local tapas bar, and we danced the night away with the beautiful, city view on the pickleball court.
My bridal gown, earrings, hairpiece, and bracelet were from The White Dress in Portland OR. The necklace I wore was my mom’s.
I truly felt like a princess and like I was in a fairytale that day.
My wedding blew my expectations out of the water.
It was the most dreamy, best day ever.
