From the bride on her Hawthorn Hills Ranch Wedding:
The Theme: I wanted the day to feel like a daydream -light and airy. I chose pinks, blues, and purples for the palette.
The Decor: I made a few decorations myself and one of my talented bridesmaids Sarah made us some beautiful signs.
The Florals: The florals were everything I wanted. They looked like they had just been picked from a wildflower meadow. Kelly made me a gorgeous hair clip to wear and a stunning floating floral arrangement that we used as a background for the ceremony. My bouquet was SO beautiful, I dried it and I will save it forever. I thought the addition of the succulent was so cool and unique.
The music: We had a live band and they were amazing! They added so much to the atmosphere and the energy in the room. The dancing part of the reception was so much fun. Everyone was up and dancing the whole time!
The Look: I never thought I would have chosen a ball gown as my wedding dress. I ended up falling in love with the dress and when I tried it on it already fit me perfectly. All we had to do was shorten the straps slightly. I loved the drama of the long skirt and sequins on the bodice. I wore my great-grandmother’s necklace which was sweet.
Advice for other brides: Don’t stress about the small details of your day- everything will come together and ultimately you will remember the feeling of the day more than the decor. Be patient with each other!
