From the bride: Our wedding was elegant, natural, and autumn-themed. My mother spent the summer crafting all the unique decorations, and she and my older brother and I worked together to cut the birch centerpieces from a fallen tree in the woods and drill tea-light sized holes in each one for candles. My mother built the entire arbor by hand, by herself. We found saplings in a field to decorate the arbor, and used organza and hanging crystals from my grandmother’s old chandelier to decorate the arbor as well. We wanted the wedding to feel as natural and richly colorful as possible. The bridespeople (4 women, 1 man, and 1 gender-neutral person) all wore a different fall color. The showcase flower in all the bouquets was the dahlia, in memory of my sister who passed away 18 months prior.
