Four Oaks Manor Wedding

Jaden and Michael were married at the beautiful Four Oaks Manor wedding venue.

They met in college, but it was another few years later when their story really began.

“We met in college and I knew there was something special about Michael,” Jaden explains. “We didn’t reconnect until 3 years later. I messaged him on Instagram, asked him on a date and the rest is history!”

A few years into the relationship, Michael decided it was time to propose.

“My dad had recently moved to Texas which was hard for me and my brother since we are all very close. Michael planned a trip to visit my dad a few months later and decided to include him, my stepmom, and step-siblings.”

Michael’s original plan was to propose with Jaden’s family all around them. But on their first night in Texas, he decided he couldn’t wait any longer and proposed to her right in their bedroom.

“It was perfect for it to be just us and take in the moment together. It was also very special to celebrate it with my dad the rest of the weekend,” Jaden said.

Soon after getting engaged, Jaden and Michael began looking at venues. Jaden said they wanted “an outdoor wedding that had some character.”

After touring Four Oaks Manor wedding venue, they decided that was the place they wanted to get married.

In addition to our outdoor space, Jaden said she was also drawn to all that came included with Four Oaks Manor wedding venue. “The venue was also extremely affordable and came with a lot included in the rental price. The biggest sellers for me were the beautiful grounds and the complimentary decor.”

Jaden and Michael married on a beautiful Friday in October. On the morning of their wedding, Jaden and all her bridesmaids got ready in Four Oaks Manor’s upstairs bridal suite while Michael and his groomsmen hung out in our groom’s room.

While the girls were getting the final touches on their hair and makeup, Michael and his groomsmen went outside to start taking photos.

The groomsmen wore simple black suits with black ties while Michael was dressed in all-black. Michael’s mom pinned on his white boutonniere, adding the perfect amount of pop to his attire.

Once the guys were done taking photos and were back inside, Jaden and the girls went out to the gardens to start getting their portraits done.

Story continued: The girls were all dressed in classic black dresses. We’re loving this modern trend – keep it coming! The bridesmaids’ bouquets were full of greenery and touches of white mixed throughout. Jaden’s bouquet showed off different types of greenery mixed with deep wine calla lilies, anemones, and so many other amazing florals. Stems Atlanta, all we can say is wow!

While Jaden and Michael decided to save their first look together for the ceremony, Jaden did have a first look with her dad.

Jaden’s style felt very boho chic and her altar was no different. Our altar is usually covered with flowy, white chiffon fabric, but Jaden opted to remove the fabric and hang up this incredible woven macrame in the center instead. Stems Atlanta added a beautiful arrangement to the center.

Four Oaks’ modern glass lanterns lined the aisle, which Stems Atlanta filled with more simple arrangements. We also placed our large ferns on both sides of the aisle. This altar style was a first for Four Oaks and we loved how Jaden’s vision turned out!

To start the processional off, their family members and Michael all walked down to “Beyond” by Leon Bridges. Their wedding party followed to the song “Crazy Love” by Van Morrison. Finally, Jaden came down the aisle arm-and-arm with her dad to Brooklyn Duo’s instrumental cover of “Can’t Help Falling in Love.”

Their ceremony was simple and rich, full of their love and commitment to each other. The joy on their faces shone throughout the entire ceremony.

After saying “I do” and being pronounced husband and wife, Jaden and Michael along with their wedding party recessed to “You are the Best Thing” by Ray LaMontagne. While their guests were dismissed to cocktail hour, they spent their first few married moments together in Four Oaks’ outdoor gazebo surrounded by their wedding party.

During cocktail hour, guests were free to mingle in the reception area and find their seats, which were displayed on an antique gold mirror. Jaden and Michael wanted to keep everything outside, having the reception tables, dancing, and even dessert in the gardens.

Black tablecloths, light gold runners, and alternating centerpieces decorated the reception tables. Some tables adorned Four Oaks Manor’s antique gold lanterns decorated with greenery while other tables included beautiful modern floral arrangements by Stems Atlanta.

Guests relaxed under the bistro lights and helped themselves to appetizers, wine, and beer from Four Oaks’ Beer Bar.

Meanwhile, Lupins + Lava Photography took the newlyweds and their wedding party throughout Four Oaks’ four acres to capture their wedding portraits.

Once they finished up with portraits, Jaden and Michael were announced from the farmhouse into the reception.

They opened the reception with their first dance to “XO” by John Mayer on the outdoor dance floor. Following their first dance, Jaden danced with her father to “Oh” by Dave Matthews and Michael danced with his mother to Cheryl Crow’s “Sweet Child of Mine.”

After the dances, Jaden and Michael sat down at their head table to join their guests for dinner. On the menu was Chef Craig’s “Marry Me” chicken, short ribs, garlic mashed potatoes, green beans with red peppers, and Four Oaks signature salad.

For their head table, they opted to use one of Four Oaks Manor’s farmhouse tables. They decorated it with a hanging macramé, a vase for Jaden’s bouquet, greenery from Stems Atlanta, and our Mr. and Mrs. chairs.

While everyone was finishing their dinner, the maid of honor, best man, and Jaden’s dad all gave toasts, which were full of laughter, favorite memories, and hopes for the newlyweds.

They followed toasts with cake cutting by the pond. They opted for a classic white cake from Publix with florals from Stems Atlanta that matched Jaden’s bouquet.

Next up, party time! Joey from OnCue Events turned up the music and Jaden, Michael and their wedding guests danced the night away under the lights.

The night ended with Jaden and Michael walking under sparklers for their grand exit.

“Our wedding day experience was amazing! It felt like a dream when we woke up the next morning. Everything was perfect and we had the best time with our family and friends. We wanted to get married again!”

We followed up with Jaden a few months after her and Michael’s wedding to see what they were enjoying most in their marriage.

“The best part about being married is the feeling of security and knowing whatever life brings us we will take it on together. We are incredibly happy to be married!”

Thank you Jaden and Michael for choosing Four Oaks Manor wedding venue for your wedding! We wish you a long, happy, and fun marriage together. Cheers!
