From the bride: We visited serval locations around New York City, but as soon as we found out J W Marriot Essex House New York had availability, our decision was made. The Essex House wedding venue holds a special place in my heart as it was the first New York hotel I ever stayed in. You might say it’s where my love affair with New York began.
Situated on Central Park South, Essex House wedding venue is in the heart of Manhattan. With unparalleled views of the park and beautiful architecture to boot, the venue gave us a stunning stage which Meredith and her team transformed into our own exquisite experience.
I’m sure every bride says this, but I was obsessed with my Pronovias dress. So much so that I put the whole thing on again after returning from my honeymoon before I sent it to J Scheer & Co. for cleaning and preservation.
The Barcelona designer has many styles to choose from, but I knew I wanted something elegant and dramatic. So, I paired a lace bodysuit with a tasteful deep v with an epic satin ballgown skirt. I topped it off with a cathedral-length veil and I felt like a princess.
After the ceremony, the skirt transformed -with help from a French bustle – so I was able to dance the night away, which was so important to me as my family and I love to dance.
From planning the menu, to designing the invitations, to providing us a beautiful vision, we could not have pulled off a 150 person wedding in 7 months without GLDN Events.
Our wedding was everything we could have imagined and more thanks to Meredith and her team.
Nothing was overlooked and every detail was attended to and I couldn’t have asked for a better team to make all my dreams come true.
