Updated October 18, 2026: we checked every price and link.
The best engagement party invitations match the party, so a foil-pressed card suits a restaurant dinner and a $4 Canva template suits a backyard cookout. Our favorite is Morgan Kendall’s foil-pressed Champagne card at Minted ($93 for 25), and below are 22 picks across printed, photo, printable and digital invitations, from free to foil.
To choose them, our editors compared invitations from Minted, Papier, Paperless Post, Greenvelope and 13 Etsy shops, read minimum quantities, paper and addressing options, processing times and return policies, and checked every price on Oct. 18, 2026. We looked at Zola and Artifact Uprising too, but neither listed engagement party invitations when we checked. Etsy templates are digital downloads you can’t return, so each one names the editor it uses (Canva, Corjl or Templett).

Printed engagement party invitations
Minted’s minimum is 25 cards and Papier’s is 10, and both will print your guests’ addresses for free (Papier with its colored envelope upgrade). Buttons show the price of the smallest order each site takes, and each blurb gives the price for a bigger one.
For the dinner for ten, where a 25-card minimum means 15 cards in a junk drawer
Papier Pink Branches Party Invitation
Ten cards is the minimum at Papier, so a dinner for ten costs $26.40 instead of a 25-card order you’ll mostly recycle. Fifty run $111 ($2.22 each), and the thicker 650 GSM premium stock is $3.96 a card at 10. Plain white envelopes are free; upgrade to colored ones and Papier prints your guests’ addresses at no charge. Papier says it doesn’t usually accept returns on personalized cards but asks you to get in touch within 30 days if you’re unhappy.
For the party where the signature cocktail has a name and a backstory
Minted “Sip & Celebrate” Engagement Party Invitations by Cass Loh
Cass Loh’s hand-drawn, vintage-style cocktail glass comes in a bright orange Minted calls Tropical Frizz, made for a party where the bar is the main event. It’s a 5.25-inch square, and Minted warns that square cards need extra postage, so add that to the budget before you fall for it. Twenty-five cards are $77 and 55 are $145, with white envelopes and printed guest addresses included.
For the engagement dinner at the red-sauce place where the owner already knows your order
Minted “That’s Amore.” Engagement Party Invitations by Jenna Holcomb
Jenna Holcomb, a graphic designer based in Aspen, Colorado, drew a border of sketched Italian food around a big “That’s Amore.” headline, so it’s the card for a pasta-and-Chianti kind of party. Minted prices it like most of its printed designs, $77 for 25 or $145 for 55, with free recipient addressing. The rounded corners in the default setup added $28.85 to a 55-card order, so check the shape setting before you check out.
For the couple who got engaged on a ski trip and brings it up at every opportunity
Minted “Apres Yes” Engagement Party Invitations by Vera Lim
If the proposal happened anywhere near a chairlift, this is your card. Vera Lim hand-illustrated a mountain scene in a green Minted calls Alpine, and it’s the only winter design in our printed picks. It’s a flat 5 x 7 at $77 for 25 or $145 for 55, with white envelopes and free recipient addressing. Minted sells in steps of 10 from 25, so a 50-person list means ordering 55.
For the hosts who need one card that works for both sets of parents
Minted “Champagne” Foil-Pressed Engagement Party Invitations by Morgan Kendall
Our top pick works for a backyard party or a club brunch because it’s mostly type: Minted calls Morgan Kendall’s design “a foil-pressed engagement party invite with a focus on typography,” and the lettering is pressed in gold. Twenty-five cards are $93. Fifty-five are $132, which comes out cheaper per card ($2.40) than the 75-card tier ($2.47 each), so if your list is near 50, order 55 (there’s no 50-card option). White envelopes and printed guest addresses are included, and you can choose Signature, Pearlescent, 100% recycled, DoubleThick or TripleThick paper, though Minted didn’t show those upcharges on the page. Production time isn’t listed either, so check the delivery date at checkout; Minted’s standard shipping alone is 5 business days in transit.
For the cocktail-attire party where the champagne tower is not up for debate
Minted “Sparkling Champagne Tower” Foil-Pressed Engagement Party Invitations by Jackie Crawford
Jackie Crawford’s gold-foil champagne tower does the talking on this one, and Minted offers it on a black card it calls Noir as well as the light version shown. Foil pricing matches the Champagne card above, $93 for 25 or $132 for 55, and the mini scallop edge added $28.85 to a 55-card order, bringing it to $160.85 before shipping. Black and gold says cocktail attire before anyone reads the dress code line.
Photo engagement party invitations
Order these after the photos come back, not before. Most of these designs use a single photo, so choose the one you’d frame.
For the hosts who want champagne on the front and the two of you on the back
WillowLanePaperie We’re Engaged Champagne Photo Engagement Party Invitation Template
WillowLanePaperie, a shop with more than 426,000 sales, pairs a champagne-themed front with an optional photo on the back. All the wording is editable in Templett, which runs in a desktop browser (not on phones), and you can download a PDF, JPEG or PNG for home printing or a print shop. The template stays editable for two years. It’s a digital download, so it can’t be returned.
For the hosts mailing 20 invitations to the grandparents and texting the other 40
EdiDesignCollection Engagement Party Invitation Template with Photo #154
Two files come with this Corjl template from EdiDesignCollection, a UK shop with more than 66,000 sales: a 5 x 7 for printing and a 1080 x 1920 version sized for phones. You can edit all the text, fonts and colors and swap in your photo (the shop says phones handle only basic edits like those), and access lasts 365 days. The sample shows a black-and-white photo with the couple’s names in script. Digital downloads can’t be returned.
For the couple whose engagement photographer delivered the gallery early
Minted “Modern Editorial” Engagement Party Invitations by Ana de Sousa
Minted calls Ana de Sousa’s design a “one-photo engagement party invitation,” and it runs on a horizontal 7 x 5 card. You can add custom foil (Minted doesn’t list that price on the product page), and the base price is $77 for 25 or $145 for 55, with free recipient addressing. No good photo yet? Start with our guide to what to wear for engagement photos.
For the couple who would like the ring in every frame, thank you
Minted “Purest” Engagement Party Invitations by Carla San Roman
The photo is the whole design here: Minted describes Carla San Roman’s card as featuring “a full bleed photo of the happy couple.” Emily Rumsey, associate commerce editor at The Knot, included it in The Knot’s engagement party invitation roundup with one line: “Show off your engagement photos (and the ring) with this invite.” Pick your sharpest, best-lit shot, because a photo printed edge to edge shows every bit of blur. It’s $77 for 25 or $145 for 55, with white envelopes and printed guest addresses included. The rounded corners in the default setup added $28.85 to a 55-card order.
Printable engagement party invitation templates
These are Etsy digital downloads: you pay once, edit the wording in Canva, Corjl or Templett, then print at home or at a print shop, or text the file. None can be returned, so use the free demo when a shop offers one.
For the party whose entire theme is raising a glass
CaliGPrints Toast the Couple Engagement Party Invitation Canva Template
“Toast the Couple” sits beside a glass of bubbly with your details below, and you edit it in Canva, then print at home, through Canva or at a print shop. The Knot’s commerce team picked this same template for its engagement party invitation roundup, and it has a 5.0 rating across 39 reviews. One thing to know before you buy: CaliGPrints says some elements need Canva Pro to download without a watermark.
For the hosts who will be at the Staples print counter on Thursday
EvergreenAshDesigns Modern Minimalist Engagement Party Invitation Template
Try the free Corjl demo before you buy, then edit every word and download a JPG and PDF in 5 x 7 or 4 x 6. EvergreenAshDesigns (more than 171,000 sales, 4.9 stars) gives you 180 days of access and up to 10 downloads. The shop names Staples and Office Depot for printing and recommends a test print first, since colors shift between printers. The price is a sale through Oct. 30 (regular $6.56), and digital downloads aren’t refundable.
For the hosts who’d rather spend the invitation budget on a second case of prosecco
RoseBloomPaperieShop We’re Engaged Minimalist Engagement Party Invitation Canva Template
At $5, it’s one of the least expensive invitations here: a white 5 x 7 with black script, delivered as a PDF that links to the Canva template. RoseBloomPaperieShop is smaller than the other template shops on this list (about 8,600 sales) but holds a 4.9 rating. Like every template here, it can’t be returned.
For the party at the club where your future father-in-law has his own locker
studioauj Old Money We’re Engaged Engagement Party Invitation Canva Template (EP06)
Studioauj calls the look old money: refined type, green lettering on off-white and a vintage illustration of champagne being poured. You get a 5 x 7 and an A5 version in Canva, and all the text is editable, though some graphic elements are locked. Sales are final.
For the couple who had a monogram picked out before the ring was sized
BetsyLilyDesigns Monogram Engagement Party Invitation Template: Black Border
Nothing on this card competes with the monogram: just your initials and a black border, which is why it suits a formal dinner. Every line is editable in Templett, and the files include 5 x 7 and A5 sizes plus two-per-page layouts with crop marks for printing on US Letter at home. Access lasts a year, and BetsyLilyDesigns (43,000-plus sales) points buyers to Prints of Love if you’d rather have it printed professionally. This listing holds a 4.8 from 67 reviews.
For the party that will end with someone requesting ABBA
PipiPrintables Hand Drawn Engagement Party Invitation Template
Expect a disco ball. PipiPrintables, an Australian shop rated 5.0 across 1,300 reviews, drew a scribbly black-and-white party scene (disco ball, cake, drinks) under a handwritten “We’re Engaged!” You can change the background color in Canva from a desktop browser, and The Knot included this listing in its engagement party invitation roundup. It’s a nonreturnable download.
Digital engagement party invitations you can text
The Emily Post Institute doesn’t recommend group texts for parties “larger than an immediate group,” so for anything bigger, send something that tracks RSVPs. All four of these do.
For the party you decided to throw last night and need RSVPs for by Friday
Minted “Let’s Toast” Online Engagement Party Invitation by Ellen Schlegelmilch
Free, sent by text or email, with RSVPs and a running guest count built in: that’s Minted’s online invitation, and this preppy design from Ellen Schlegelmilch comes in a Midnight colorway. Minted says hosts can link registries right on the invitation, but skip that for an engagement party (more on why below). It’s the move when the party is close enough that waiting on the mail feels risky.
For the relative who still thinks an e-vite is a little tacky
Paperless Post x Rifle Paper Co. Hydrangea Frame Engagement Party Invitation
Rifle Paper Co.’s hydrangea frame comes in light blue-green or pink-green, and it’s the digital invitation most likely to satisfy the relative who thinks paper is the only polite option. For a casual engagement party, the Emily Post Institute names “a more formalized digital email invitation like Paperless Post” as a good route. The design page lists it from 2 Coins ($0.28); paid tiers add features like page styles and guest surveys, and Paperless Post’s pricing page puts Premium at $1.05 per guest. Send it by email, text or a shareable link and track RSVPs as they arrive.
For the couple with 400 engagement photos and no ability to pick just one
Greenvelope All The Photos Engagement Party Invitation by Claudia Owen
Four photos fit in Claudia Owen’s design, and Greenvelope opens it with what it calls a “7 second envelope opening experience with matching liner and background reveal.” Pricing is a flat fee per event, starting at $19 for 20 guests and rising in 20-guest steps, with RSVPs, meal and survey questions and scheduled reminders included. You can send to up to 10 people free in trial mode, and Greenvelope promises “Hand-crafted artwork, no AI-generated designs.”
From $19 for 20 guests at Greenvelope
For the couple who would rather send a link than lick 60 envelopes
Templates4branding Engagement Party Invitation Website with RSVP Tracking (Canva)
This one is a whole invitation website: you edit it in a free Canva account, publish it as a link and send it by text, email or WhatsApp, and guests RSVP through a Google Form without needing a Google account. It has a countdown timer and music guests can click to play, and every response lands in the form, with email alerts if you turn them on. Templates4branding (43,000-plus sales) includes a video tutorial and lifetime access, and while downloads can’t be returned, the shop says it will swap a wrong color or design chosen by mistake.
Etsy engagement party invitations printed and shipped to you
Want paper without a printer or a 25-card minimum? These two Etsy shops print the cards and mail them to you with envelopes, starting at 10.
For the hosts who want real paper and refuse to go near a printer
PrintablesByTaylorCo Printed Modern Minimalist Engagement Party Invitations
PrintablesByTaylorCo prints this minimalist design on 14 pt uncoated matte cardstock and ships it with white envelopes, “ready to address and mail,” in the shop’s words. Ten are $17.99 and 50 are $87.74, plus $4.99 shipping from Detroit, and production takes 1 to 3 business days after you send your details. The listing doesn’t mention a proof, so read your wording twice before you submit it.
For the party with a color palette, a mood board and a sister enforcing both
DesignPrintIndulge Elegant Modern Engagement Party Invitation, Printed with Envelopes
DesignPrintIndulge lets you choose from 36 background colors and an ink color, then prints on what the shop calls “100lb, luxuriously smooth matte finish, white fine stationery stock,” with white A7 envelopes. Fifty cards are $55.64 (about $1.11 each) and 10 are $22.84, with free shipping from Idaho. The shop sends a digital proof within 48 hours on weekdays, and print orders are usually ready to ship in 1 to 2 business days. If you’d rather print it yourself, the same design is $8.66 as a PDF.
When should you send engagement party invitations?
Three to six weeks before the party. That’s the Emily Post Institute’s window (“Send invitations three to six weeks in advance,” from its Etiquette Today column on engagement parties), and Emily Rumsey, associate commerce editor at The Knot, writes that “a good rule of thumb is to send out your cards at least a month in advance,” with more notice for guests who have to travel. Our editors’ math for paper: Minted and Papier don’t list production times on their product pages, Minted’s standard shipping adds 5 business days in transit, and the Etsy print shops here quote 1 to 3 business days of production before shipping. So order printed cards about two weeks before you want them in mailboxes. A digital invitation can go out the day you finish it.
Who should get an engagement party invitation?
Only people who will also get a wedding invitation. The Emily Post Institute says to “only invite guests that will 100% be invited to the wedding itself,” and its guest list guide warns that “People invited to an engagement party will naturally assume they’re going to be invited to the wedding.” If your venue caps you at 90, the engagement party list comes out of those 90. Who hosts and whether guests bring gifts are covered in our engagement party ideas and etiquette guide.
What should an engagement party invitation say?
Who’s hosting, whose engagement it is, the date, time and place, an RSVP-by date and a dress code if there is one. The Knot’s checklist is “The event date and time,” “The party location,” “RSVP details” and “Dress code,” and the Emily Post Institute’s one non-negotiable is to “DEFINITELY include an RSVP-by date.” Our editors’ take on the host line: parents, friends or the two of you can all host, so put whoever is hosting at the top (“[Hosts’ names] invite you to celebrate the engagement of [your names]”). Leave the registry off. The Knot says “Generally, you’ll want to exclude details about your wedding registry from your engagement party invites,” unless the party doubles as a couple’s shower, and the Emily Post Institute says a couple shouldn’t have a registry picked out yet. Match the format to the party, too: “The invitations should match the formality of the party,” per the Emily Post Institute, which suggests printed, calligraphied or handwritten invitations for a formal one.
Mailing paper? The names-and-titles rules in our guide to addressing wedding invitations apply to the envelopes here. Then get the room ready with our engagement party decorations, pick an outfit from our engagement party dresses, and if you’re still in the first few weeks, work through what to do after getting engaged before the party takes over your calendar.
