Stunning decor filled Westmount Country Club for Cynthia & Ricky’s gold vintage wedding last spring.
From the photographer: The color scheme included gold to match the bride’s engagement ring, which is gold because the child of Portuguese immigrants, Cynthia wanted to include the color of her heritage and it’s jewelry in her love story with Ricky. With predominantly white, gold, and navy colors and a touch of greenery the look was achieved. A Catholic wedding was held and the couple exchanged their Portuguese wedding bands (both with Portuguese yellow gold). The bridesmaids and mothers also wore yellow gold jewelry from Portugal with traditional filigree designs. The table decor for the sweetheart table included a runner with embroidery made by Cynthia’s grandmother to also include the culture in a subtle manner. During the reception, a Polish blessing was given with the bread, wine, and salt from Ricky’s side of the family.
At the entrance to the church was a DIY project which was a chalkboard that belonged to Cynthia as a child and Ricky refurbished and painted, as well as added lettering using Cricut to welcome guests to this gold vintage wedding. Floral inside the church was kept simple to complement the modern feel. Placecards for the reception were designed by Ricky and placed within gold photobooth frames to also double as a guest favor for this gold vintage wedding.
