High up in the mountains of Ashville amongst the knobby, rocky, rhododendron-covered forest Alexandra and Joseph said “I do”. Here the couple explains why a Craggy Gardens Elopement in the forest was the perfect choice for them.
“Joseph and I met in senior year of high school. We went to college together as well. We were friends for 11 years until we started dating.
We chose to elope for a few reasons. Firstly, we are expecting a baby in December and we wanted to officially become a family before he gets here. And secondly, we considered getting married next fall but we figured we would be so consumed with a newborn that we wouldn’t have time to plan a wedding.
After considering eloping, we knew that it would be the best choice for us. Whether a years time or a couple of months, we just wanted to be a family and eloping with just us and our immediate family was the perfect choice for us.
We chose to get married in NC because I wanted to get married in a forest. It turned out to be the perfect location and we couldn’t have asked for a better, more special wedding day.”
