Colleen & Charles’ artistic modern wedding reception was held at Contemporary Arts Center is New Orleans, Louisiana.
After signing the Ketubah at The Roosevelt Hotel, they made their way to Our Lady of Good Counsel to exchange vows. Upon conclusion of this artistic modern wedding ceremony, guests participated in a Second Line to the reception. Tables were draped in elegant linens and topped with fun centerpieces.
From the photographer: Colleen and Charles are not only completely smitten with one another, they are two of the most thoughtful, witty, and loving individuals I have ever met. And, when we began to plan their April 22nd wedding at Our Lady of Good Counsel and the Contemporary Arts Center, they wanted to incorporate a modern elegance, unexpected pops of color, and thoughtful touches around every corner – and, to truly give their guests an authentic New Orleans experience. And, from not one, but two second lines to face painters…a true New Orleans experience was definitely the order the day! The color palette was a lively combination of magenta, pale pink, peach, & white on a bed of lush greenery and muted golds. Pops of navy provided a touch of sophistication, while layers of texture gave everything a custom feel. Traditional elements were also mixed in; but, from a fresh, modern viewpoint.
