City View Penthouse Wedding

From the bride on their City View Penthouse Wedding: We dreamed of having a wedding that would stand out from any others that we had been to. We wanted a venue that had a real WOW factor to create a unique experience for our guests and stand apart from all the other wedding venues we had visited. The views at the South Park Center City View Penthouse were so stunning, we knew we didn’t have to add much to make it a magical day.

The inspiration for the decor was classic and clean elegance. We enhanced the space with lots of rental trees to bring some greenery into the city view space. All of the flowers were DIY! I ordered my flowers through Flower Moxie and designed all the centerpieces, bouquets, and area decor by myself with the help of my mom and sister.

The flower inspiration was “Tropical Minimalism” with all white flowers and lots of greenery. I wanted something classic and fresh to brighten up the space. Since I arranged all the florals myself, I kept things really simple with a collection of glass bud vases on each table and small, tropical inspired bouquets.

We put together the ultimate reception playlist for our DJ to play at the wedding. It was a great way to motivate me through my workouts leading up to the wedding and envision all my family and friends on the dance floor to our favorite jams.

Although the event was Black Tie Optional, we decided we wanted tacos for dinner! It is our favorite meal to eat together, and Border Grill did an amazing job with some of the best tacos we had ever had.

One of Kyle’s best friends, Isiah, had been signed to a professional football team just months before our wedding. He was one of Kyle’s Best Men and someone who he considers to be family, so while we were happy for his success in his football career, it was crushing to find out that he would no longer be able to come to the wedding.

Little did Kyle know, Isiah was able to make arrangements with his coach to fly to LA from Alabama on the day of the wedding and back that night. His flight was delayed, but he made it with minutes to spare of the ceremony.

Kyle had no idea he was there until Isiah walked down the aisle with the Maid of Honor and 2nd Best Man, causing Kyle to break down in tears. It was a moment of deep emotion that we will treasure forever to see the loyalty and support of Kyle’s closest friends in his life.
