Church of Dirt Wedding

Cassie and Nick were married in a beautiful outdoor ceremony in the mountains called the Church of Dirt wedding venue, followed by a small reception nearby in Park City.

Cassie is from Florida and she moved to Utah for a job as a minister for her church last year. She met Nick the first day she was in town at her new job. They hit it off immediately and fell in love quickly.

They are the typical opposites attract story, Nick being the most fun and extroverted while Cassie is more introverted, likes to have more serious conversations, and likes a slower-paced life.

They planned a big wedding with their friends and family at a gorgeous indoor venue and then Covid hit. They ended up changing all of their plans.

Cassie had her bridesmaids come out from Florida and did a bachelorette party the night before and stayed in an Airbnb with the girls.

They got ready together and had their ceremony in the afternoon so they could take their time getting ready.

They ended up having the ceremony outdoors at the most beautiful venue in Park City, Utah called the Church of Dirt wedding venue.

It has a wooden arch, wooden benches, and it overlooks the mountains and could not have been prettier.

It’s a free venue that you can reserve by writing your name on a piece of wood and leaving it on a bench with a pile of other reservations.

Cassie & Nick had their closest friends and family come instead of a large group like originally planned and, of course, brought their cute dog.

After the ceremony, they left with their dog to their outdoor reception nearby.

They had street tacos and drinks, a photo van, s’mores, and lots of dancing.

When they cut the cake, they scooped it on forks, and right before Cassie could shove it in Nick’s face, the cake fell off her fork so she had to get a new piece! It was a low-key and super fun reception.

Everyone danced for hours well into the evening and they ended the night with a sparkler send-off.
