Anesha and Matt got ready and had their first look at the Thunderbird Inn, a retro hotel based in Savannah, and then had a Chippewa Square wedding (where Forrest Gump sat and ate his box of chocolates!).
This couple knew they wanted their wedding day to be quirky and fun, surrounded by a handful of loved ones to celebrate with them.
They chose to have their first look at the retro Thunderbird Inn in Savannah where they were staying, and we took advantage of the fun and colorful backdrop for photos.
Rather than driving to their ceremony in Chippewa Square, Anesha and Matt chose to walk instead so Anesha could strut her stuff on the street in her wedding dress!
They had a blast walking through Savannah’s historic district, waving to honking cars and thanking all of the people passing by congratulating them. It was the perfect way to get pumped up for their ceremony.
Matt was escorted down the aisle by his sister, who was his “Best Man,” and Anesha walked down the aisle with her mother, looking radiant as she made her way to Matt.
The couple exchanged their own personal vows, and Matt made sure he explained all of the important places he and Anesha have been together that brought meaning to their relationship – their vows were emotional and heartfelt, with just enough humor to make their guests laugh and smile.
After the couple tied the knot and the sun had set, we finished our time together across from the square at the historic Savannah Theater, soaking in the last light before hopping on a trolley to keep the celebration going!
