A word from the Bride on her Chic Summer Wedding in New Jersey: We met in high school. I was 14 and Matt was 16. We really had no mutual friends, which is the crazy part! We just knew of each other. It really was so strange. I asked a friend from his BBM (Black berry messanger) and the rest is history. We celebrate our 12 year anniversary this upcoming April. Matt proposed in Cape Cod. Cape Cod is one of my favorite places ever. so he proposed at Nauset Beach.
The theme of our wedding was very elegant and timeless. Pretty much everything at our wedding was white, all of our florals were white roses and we had a huge white flower wall behind our sweetheart able with floating candles on the floor.
We had personalized signature drinks. My cocktail was called the Cape Codder. I grew up going to Cape Cod so it’s a very special place to me. Matt also proposed on the Cape so its even more special now! Matt’s signature cocktail was called the Stanley Cup. He is a die hard New York Ranger Fan. He played hockey his entire life, so it only made sense! Our third signature drink was called the Beau-Lelini. Our dogs name is Beau and he is the center of our life! We had to include him somehow!
My wedding dress was so simple. It’s an Alexandra Grecco gown. It has an open low back with thin straps. It also has a slit on the side. Super elegant, simple and timeless. My veil was also Alexandra Grecco. It is a simple, long veil. I choose this veil because it went with my dress but I also plan to pass my veil down to both my sisters when they get married. It can go with any type of gown.
There are a lot of special moments on our wedding day. Truthfully, having all of our friends and family together in one space was amazing. It was so special to see all of the people we love celebrate our love. Both Matt and I have dreamed of getting married since we were just teenagers. The few minutes after the ceremony were so special.
ENJOY EVERY SECOND! There are a lot of ups and downs, BUT it’s all worth it. Our wedding day was PERFECT. All of our vendors were absolutely amazing. Beyond words…. Honestly. All the matters are you and your significant other.
