Paris is always a good idea they say.
A better idea is a fairytale Chateau just on the outskirts of this romantic city!
If you haven’t seen Chateau de Chantilly, now would be the best time to start planning your destination wedding in France.
Alice & Bob, a couple from the U.S., chose this dreamy Chateau to have their wedding and a strong team of vendors to realize their dream.
Nancy from Fete in France orchestrated the whole event and Elias Kordelakos made sure to capture all the magic with his camera.
As France is well known for many things, painters being one of them, the couple’s guests were entertained during the cocktail hour by having their pictures drawn by an illustrator.
From the planner: Fête in France:
Boston-based couple Alice & Bob selected the royal domain of Chantilly, located one hour north of Paris, for their late summer wedding celebration.
We loved that color and pattern were present in the couple’s inspiration images. and we created a design that incorporated bright blues and pinks, blue & white chinoiserie motif vases, and a bit of gold here and there for a regal touch.
The ceremony took place in the gardens of a charming pavilion nestled in the extensive grounds of the château.
Floral designer Madame Artisan Fleuriste used the garden’s arched trellis as the focal point for the ceremony, decorating it with fragrant roses in a palette of pinks.
Guests enjoyed a cocktail hour in the garden, with champagne as well as Little Fancy rosé spritzers, a side project of the couple.
The jazz ensemble and fashion illustrator were both big hits.
After a seated 4-course dinner and cutting the wedding cake – designed perfectly on theme by Synie’s Cakes – the couple opened up the dancefloor and surprising even themselves, stayed there until the very end thanks to the incredible Four Kicks band.

France is blessed with having many gorgeous Chateaux to host the perfect destination wedding and Chateau de Chantilly is definitely one of its gems!
The architecture and the surroundings of the property are jaw-dropping. The light was perfect, complimenting every part of the day.
Alice & Bob, made the best of their destination wedding in France, as they invested in having an engagement session at the Chateau’s premises.
Having an engagement session prior to your special day is something I strongly advise. It helps you to relax, get accustomed to the process, and you will have more pictures of the two of you!
Having your photographer documenting your rehearsal dinner is also a great opportunity to have more pictures of your guests.
Working with Fete in France was a true pleasure, as they are very talented, pay attention to all the details, and have an excellent collaboration!
