When you think of Las Vegas, you might not think “family-focused” but this couple had exactly that, a family-focused elopement in Las Vegas. Stephanie tells the story of how she and Jason met and the details on how their Charleston Peak wedding came together.
“I messaged Jason on Facebook to ask him about an upcoming race for my son. He is a track coach and I thought this would be an easy way to break the ice. He didn’t answer me for 3 months!
We had our first date and it wasn’t love at first sight, I didn’t think he even liked me because he was so shy and hardly talked. We dated for 2.5 years and he finally asked me to marry him, so we eloped. I didn’t want to wait any longer, and I heard about simply eloped through a co-worker.
My co-worker used the venue at Red-Rock but we wanted our family to attend. After looking into the venues, we thought the Charleston Peak was absolutely breathtaking.
Our families stayed at Red Rock and it was a nice atmosphere for the age ranges we had. It was a family-friendly place and not the downtown crazy Vegas happenings. We met so many nice people and our kids played together and watched the Vegas knights play at the poolside viewing.
Everything was provided, and coming from Missouri, it was exactly what we wanted. Using simply eloped, I could focus on my marriage and not the wedding. The most important thing was marrying the man I loved and not dealing with the stress of everything else.
I looked at Feel and Focus Photography on Instagram and fell in love with her style. It was exactly what we were looking for and not fussy with too much posing. With two boys, I knew they wouldn’t tolerate much. I didn’t want a traditional inside wedding, and we wanted the backgrounds to be spectacular.
The officiant Alex was so easy to work with, and we wrote the ceremony details tailored to fit our new family. He included my sons and made them feel special in an amazing wedding ceremony. The boys even knelt down to present the rings!
Our nieces and nephews felt very proud when given the job to be flower girls and ring bearers and were not hesitant at all because it was such an intimate family experience.
Everything went perfect, and the weather was beautiful in the mountains, it was 70* and perfect in early June. The guys in their suits were not hot and the breeze made it even cooler.
We tell everyone we know about Simply Eloped and it was everything we had hoped for. We could focus on making memories instead of wedding planning and it was high quality for a fraction of the price.”
