This private wedding was hosted in a celebrity favorite hotspot, Casa de Campo wedding venue by my cousin-in-law Alex and his beautiful wife Nandy.
The ceremony was postponed 3 times in the past 2 years due to COVID before Nandy settled for a “minimony” in her native Dominican Republic.
They met back in the summer of 2012 while Nandy worked as a Google Specialist assisting a Best Buy store in Brooklyn. That was where she met Alex, a young advanced repair agent she instantly knew from the moment she laid eyes on him that he was the one.
Nandy really wanted to show off the beauty of La Romana to her Russian in-laws and knew that Casa de Campo was the perfect place.
The bride walked down to Kanis Grannis’s cover of “I can’t help falling in love with you” while the groom’s brother played the violin.
Before exchanging rings with Nandy, Alex did the unexpected and called Nandy’s daughter over.
He read vows to Megan (his stepdaughter) acknowledging his responsibility as a dad and promised to always love and protect her before giving her a small diamond Disney-themed ring.
Everyone watched holding their breaths as to not let out a small whimper. It was a beautiful moment.
The bridesmaids wore Black because Nandy wanted to bring old NYC sophisticated vibes with a touch of Hollywood glamour to the DR.
She wore 3 different looks, a first look 2 piece dress, a trumpet dress with an amazing overskirt, and finally a sexy thigh split so that she can be comfortable dancing during the reception.
