Callanwolde Fine Arts Center Wedding

Callanwolde Fine Arts Center Wedding: Tyler and Heba met in grad school at Georgia Tech. We both studied structural engineering. We ended up becoming friends first semester and spent a lot of time together in grad school in the same friend group.

After many hours of study sessions, trips to coffee shops and the park, we found ourselves making any excuse to spend more time together.

We knew we liked each other for a while (all of our friends knew as well), but we didn’t decide to take our relationship to the next step until after graduation when we were both working in Atlanta (for different firms). And we’ve been inseparable since!

One of our favorite activities is to go hiking in western North Carolina where Tyler is from (Highlands, NC area). We found a trail while driving up to Asheville on the Blue Ridge Parkway called Sam’s Knob. It’s a short trail but the view was amazing.

Although I tripped and rolled my ankle on the way down the mountain, it ended up being one of our favorite memories and hikes.

A few years later, we went back to Sam’s Knob with our friends. One thing Tyler told me while we were walking up the mountain was “don’t trip and fall like last time”. Before he finished his sentence, I tripped and fell on my face, nails dug into the mud and everything. Tyler helped clean the dirt off my clothes.

But we’ll never forget that moment because I always find a way to trip on hikes, even on a proposal hike. When we got to the top of the mountain, our friends asked to take a photo of Tyler and me. Tyler got on one knee and proposed with the beautiful mountains in the background, photographed by our friends.

After that we continued our drive to Asheville. Tyler had a lovely weekend planned in Asheville to celebrate the engagement. It was perfect!

The couple rescheduled their wedding a few times because of COVID and ended up having 3 different celebrations with their family in different states, till finally in 2021 we got to capture this celebration which was the biggest for them and included all their special fam and friends!

Heba and Tyler love to travel and being outdoors they went to the UK for their honeymoon!
