Ryan and Echo’s California backyard wedding!
From the bride: We wanted to have a California backyard wedding with our closest friends and family that have been part of our journey. It was especially meaningful to have our wedding at Ryan’s family home where his own parents were married. Not to mention it feels like a tropical oasis and was the backdrop of our first kiss.
Ryan’s mom, Cris, has the best style and took the lead in creating the ambiance. The property is full of palms, ferns and we just added a few floral accents along with some lighting for that farm-to-table feel. Of course, the day wouldn’t have been complete without ‘Sticky Bumps’ classic Chevy wagon for the bride and groom to dash away in.
I wanted to keep with the fall season using dark rich colors. Organic Elements did an amazing job complimenting the natural lush greens of the property with burgundy peonies and ranunculus, purple anemones and dahlias, pink garden roses and astibles in the bouquets and centerpieces.
We wanted the day to feel like a fancy, fun, and delicious dinner party. Papermoon Guitars played beautifully while guests sipped on signature Sage Bees Knees and Spicy Strawberry Margaritas. Coast Catering provided perfect mouth-watering steaks and barramundi dinner while good friends laughed together.
Our California backyard wedding was magical, but having Ryan’s son, Ryder, walk me down the aisle was truly special. Becoming part of the Dahl family is everything I’ve ever dreamed of.
We focused on remembering what the day was really about, not sweating small details (get help for that) and celebrating our love with the most important people in our lives.
Ryan and I practice being in the moment as much as possible, building on a rock solid foundation of trust and openness, unconditionally celebrating what makes each of us unique, and eternal gratitude we found each other.
